PHANTOMS ACQUIRE RESENDES FROM CEDAR RAPIDS Phantoms Add Skill and Grit to Forward Group

Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown Phantoms have acquired forward Landan Resendes from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in exchange for forwards Grant Young and Sam Ranallo.
Resendes, 18, of Marlborough, Massachusetts comes to the Phantoms after playing in 72 games over parts of three seasons for the RoughRiders, scoring 16 goals and 19 assists for a total of 35 points.  Prior to his time in the USHL, Resendes played prep hockey for the Cushing Academy Penguins, where he produced 54 points on 27 goals and 27 assists in 32 games.
Phantoms Co-GM, Jason Deskins stated "We want to thank Grant and Sam for their time in Youngstown.  They are great people and teammates and have represented the Phantoms extremely well.  We wish them well in Cedar Rapids".  Deskins continued "We are excited to bring Landan to Youngstown as he is a player we have identified for a while now as a fit for our program.  Landan brings a ton of skill, speed, and swagger to the Phantoms.  He is a gritty kid that plays the game hard and with loads of passion.  We couldn't be happier to have him join the organization."
