We get it, not every situation is going to be a perfect fit. Maybe asking for a trade is too much of a challenge and the player just wants to get himself into another situation.
For the record. I can't endorse any of these behaviors, and by all means, please don't take this too seriously...unless the situation is so dire that you have to consider it.
Here are ten things players can do in order to quickly be sent packing.
– Claiming you are too sick to play but when coach come to check on you after the game your hotel room looks like Cheech and Chongs van from “Up In Smoke”.
– Ask the GM why your friends and family can’t buy beer anymore at home games.
– Having a parent claim his son is the only player that college and NHL teams are coming to watch.
– Ask the coach if your parents can give him money to get on the power-play, then write him a bouncing check if he says yes.
– Refuse to accept three additional roommates on road trips.
– Ask the GM if you can make monthly payments on the team training camp/activity/fitness/equipment fee.
– Ask the coach for a bigger paddle for the Sheridan Hawks style rookie initiation event.
– Showing up drunk to practice
– Sleep with the billet mom…or sister...or impregnate both.
– Ask the GM if he likes going to Target because they have little boys’ pants half off.
